Protective headgears are an important component of any mining work wear which provide protection to the wearer's head or part of their head from hazards like Physical danger,Environmental danger,Chemical hazard,Biological hazard,Thermal danger,Electrical hazards.
Here helmet is used mostly which has some special features as a special bracket for lights,a face shield or other protective eyewear.
The hard hats used in mining uniforms are mainly made using Nylon,High density polyurethane,Fiberglass,Vulcanized rubber,Polycarbonate,Aluminum.Which are specially coated against the hazards of radiant heat. Some of the materials from which helmets are made are themselves heat and flame resistant.
