White coats can be said to be the identity of healthcare profession these coats have always been a part of the healthcare uniforms.But the actual reasons behind wearing these coats are easy recognition by colleagues and patients, to put items in the pockets and to keep clothes clean.
The big pockets can hold a stethoscope, ophthalmoscope, paper, pen and so on. These uniforms also protects clothes from a common on-the-job hazard, flying bodily fluids. It is simple to change if soiled, and easy enough to launder.


Beyond the practical, healthcare professional wear them as symbol as Clothing influences how we are perceived and how we perceive ourselves.The white lab coat screams out "official," "brainy" and "in charge."
