Tips to Dress Yourself Elegantly in Winter

Winter is arriving; don't let your brain puzzle with your wardrobe in the cold weather. Winter means snow, ice, salt and cold. It also means some changes in your wearing style of corporate uniforms. To dress in style, professionals have to be very careful for both a snowstorm and a business dress code.

For people who like to be in style and also warm, winter is tough. To make your wardrobe simple and elegant for winter style, check out these quick tips for the winter essentials.

  • Dress in layers. Your base layer is the one next to your skin and is the first layer to keep your skin warm. It should be insulative and also moisture wicking. Moisture wicking dresses draw moisture away from your skin, if you sweat while walking, skiing, hiking or sightseeing. Your base layer will remain dry allowing you to stay warm. Clothes made from merino wool, silk, polypropylene and other synthetic fibres are the best material for the base layer.
  • Invest in good winter coats or jackets. It is the final or the uppermost layer and protects you from rain and wind. Furthermore, this layer keeps your entire inner layer warm and dry and hence it should be waterproof and wind proof.

Additional Necessities:

  • Gloves: Wear gloves made out of leather with cashmere lining for extra warmth. You can also choose gloves made out of microfibre which look like leather and are less expensive.
  • Insulated Boots: You can purchase the boots with insulated lining. If the boots don't have lining, purchase the lining made out of wool or synthetic material and not cotton.
  • Cashmere sweater: Cashmere sweaters are soft, cozy and give 100% warmth. They can be worn as an outer layer or as an inner layer.
  • Long Johns: During cold winter days wear a pair of tight long johns under your skinny pants to keep your legs warm.
  • Cashmere scarfs: Scarfs keep your neck warm and also gives you a stylish look. Keep collection of cashmere scarfs or scarf made of wool to mix and match with your style.
  • Woolen socks: A pair of woolen socks keeps your feet warm in cold weather.
  • Hat: Headwear keeps your head warm as most of the body heats escapes from your head.

Keep these essentials ready in your wardrobe for the winter season and also make your own style by using mix and match techniques. For more winter clothing tips and to choose the right corporate uniforms browse online stores that are overflowing with the latest winter collections.

Do You Think School Uniforms Should Be Banned?

The idea of school uniforms started from religious institutes and has expanded to public schools. The public schools around the world want children to wear school uniforms. In Australia, debate is, on whether school uniforms should be banned or not?

Some people say school uniforms are an essential part of uniformity, they teach children to respect, discipline and treat each other as equal. Others say that it takes the individuality of the student.

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, 19 percent of public schools want uniforms for the 2011-2012 school years. Followers of uniforms disagree that it cuts on violence and help students to focus on their studies. They say focus on studies have nothing to do with the uniforms. Good students will always concentrate on their work no matter what they wear.

Uniforms make their early morning task easy. They don’t have to think which pants look good with which shirt or which shoes to wear and so on. Furthermore, people say that uniforms make the students look neat, clean, tidy and in order. Parents think that uniforms in school will reduce the bulling activity in the school.

Likewise, studies suggest that making students wear school uniforms may cause individuality and development problems. Opponents of uniforms say that, “School uniforms teach that authority and obedience are most important.” In corporate industry, uniforms are not worn by executives as they believe in qualities such as creativity, individuality, spontaneity, proactivity and originality by giving them freedom. They say that uniforms are an outdated practice which needs to be changed with the time. They are not important to students but are misleading them to believe that conformity, obedience and authority are most important to society.

Now, you've been both sides of the coins; you can decide for yourself. Do you really think school uniforms should be banned? If so, write down your comments below.

Tips for Choosing Cycling Jerseys for Better Performances

With more and more cyclers getting on roads to pursue their passion, there are trends and ranges of cycling apparel seen in the markets. So, apart from the varieties available for hospitality uniforms and healthcare uniforms, you will be surprised to find stores that have an exclusive section flooded with sports uniforms.
Bikers/cyclers need to be dressed in well-fitted apparel conforming to their unique anatomy as bike-specific clothing makes for a comfortable ride. Here are some tips for choosing the right biking apparel:
Fit: Bikers have to fight the wind while conquering miles. So, they should always choose jerseys that fit snugly. Usually, shirts made for cycling are cut high in back to cover the skin comfortably while they stretch out arms or bend forward.
Pockets: Bike jerseys must have three pockets on the back towards the waist to provide easy access to energy bars, gel, and other small items while cycling.
Zip: Having a zipper in front will help a biker to ventilate as needed. There are full as well as partial zippers. The latter ones are mostly preferred as they can be easily zipped close.
Sleeves: Whether to choose a half sleeve or full sleeve, it all depends on the temperature. Where the biking temperature is cooler, a long-sleeve jersey or warmers can help.
Fabric: Cycling tops are mostly made from polyester material as it dries quickly and wicks moisture away from the skin.
Biking on roads is different from biking on mountains. Aerodynamics and speed are major factors. So, bikers need to be meticulous about choosing their tops in either condition for better performances.
